WHAT YOU GET
What's in the app
Who's free right now
Your home screen shows which friends are on a break right now, and when your free periods line up later today.
One-tap invites
When you and a friend have a break at the same time, it shows up on your home screen. One tap sends them an invite.
Scan your schedule
Take a screenshot of your timetable and BreakMate adds your classes for you. You can also pick them from the full Concordia class list.
Campus marketplace
Buy and sell textbooks, calculators and tickets, or offer tutoring and other services. Only students at your school see it.
Class groups
Every class gets a chat and a shared assignment list, so due dates don't sneak up on you.
Ghost mode
Hide your status with one tap. BreakMate never uses GPS, never shows ads, and only shares with friends you approve.
How it works

- 03
See your overlaps

GHOST MODE
Go invisible whenever you want.
Ghost mode hides your free periods with one tap. BreakMate never tracks your location, your schedule is only shared with friends you approve, and we never sell your data.
Questions
What is BreakMate?
BreakMate is a free app for students. It lines up your class schedule with your friends' schedules, so you can see who has a break at the same time as you and invite them in one tap. It also has a student-only marketplace for selling services and extra stuff.
Is BreakMate free?
Yes. BreakMate is free for students. There are no ads and we never sell your data.
Which schools does BreakMate work with?
BreakMate is launching at Concordia University in Montréal, and it's open to every student. Sign up with your school email to join your campus, or with any email to join the BreakMate Community.
How do I find which friends are free right now?
Add your class schedule (pick your classes or scan a screenshot) and add your friends. BreakMate's home screen then shows who is on a break right now and when your free periods line up later today.
Can teachers or the school see my schedule or messages?
No. Your schedule is visible only to friends you approve, or to classmates if you choose that setting. Direct messages are private between you and your friends, and Ghost mode hides your status entirely.
Does BreakMate track my location?
No. BreakMate never uses GPS or location tracking. It works purely from the class times you enter.
